I’m DeAaron Robinson, a filmmaker and creative producer originally from Louisville, Kentucky, now based in Atlanta, Georgia.

My journey into filmmaking began in 2019 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Like many people, life suddenly came to a stop. My high school graduation never happened, my plans changed overnight, and I found myself spending most days playing video games and wondering what came next.

Before everything shut down, my parents had given me a camera.

At first, it was simply something to experiment with. But as someone who has always loved movies, I quickly became obsessed with filmmaking. I started creating comedy skits, short films, and YouTube videos not because I had a business plan, but because I loved the feeling of making people laugh, think, and feel something through what I created.

That passion became the foundation for everything that followed.

When I got to college, I met a group of friends who believed in the same creative vision. Together, we brought ideas to life, including a comedy-horror parody series inspired by Friday the 13th called Hoodie Jason. Those early projects taught me how powerful collaboration and storytelling could be.

As my work evolved, so did the opportunities.

I began producing commercial content, appearing in front of the camera through acting opportunities, documenting my own journey through vlogs, and eventually working with professional athletes, entrepreneurs, and growing brands. Those experiences expanded my perspective beyond filmmaking alone — they taught me how great visuals can strengthen personal brands, build communities, and create lasting emotional connections.

Today, D. Rob Productions exists to tell stories that people remember.

Whether I’m documenting an athlete’s journey, producing branded content, creating documentaries, or developing content for entrepreneurs and creators, every project starts with the same question: How do we make people feel something?

Because great filmmaking isn’t just about beautiful images. It’s about creating moments that connect, inspire, and stay with people long after the screen goes black.

That’s the standard I bring to every project — and it’s the reason I continue to do what I love.
